2011 Accountants Benchmark Report Now Available

The results for the 2011 Accountants Benchmark Report are now available for you to read and compare your firm against the rest of the industry.

Key information from this years report includes:
- Two years ago the average profit per Partner was $211,050. This year the average of the 540 firms surveyed is $322,694 profit per Partner
- The highest performer was $2.8 million profit for a Sole Practitioner
- Revenue per Director improved a modest 3.5% from 2010 – the top performer at an impressive $6.2 million
- Revenue per full-time equivalent person (including Directors) peaked at $406,429
- Average hourly rate averaged $160 (same as last year) and a high of $522
- The lock up (WIP and debtors combined) average was quite poor at 91 days - but the best performer has -17 days in lock up
- It seems that there is something to the "two-speed economy" for accountants too, with both Western Australia and Queensland performing better than other states in EBIT before director salaries and Average Hourly Rate recovered
